Trust 400x400

How can a Christian benefit from the Book of Proverbs?  . . . By trusting in the One Who inspired it.

Proverbs 3:5-8 – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. 6In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths. 7Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and turn away from evil. 8It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.”

But, “He who is often reproved, yet stiffens his neck, will suddenly be broken beyond healing” –Proverbs 29:1.

May the Holy Spirit help us to acknowledge Him by possessing a mental awareness of Who God is (Heb. 11:6) so that we make a free-will choice to surrender to His Ways in a faith response to the authority of His Word, the Word of He Who loves us so. Thereby, we may have the God-given ability and discernment to make righteous judgments. That is wisdom. Folly chooses not to bring God into the equation, but it is wisdom that acknowledges God’s character and nature being present to help in times of decision-making. Biblical wisdom is Christ-centered and can only be drawn upon through a relationship with Him by His Spirit. It is His Spirit and Truth that give us the divine ability to see something from God’s viewpoint and then to act accordingly by His grace through faith.

Are you ready for a “healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones?” Trust in Him.
