Word of life

John 1:1, 4, 14 "That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we looked upon and have touched with our hands, concerning the Word of life

Under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, the apostle John places the focus on Jesus Christ as "The Word of Life." As He is the One in Whom we are to experience a personal encounter, beginning with claiming Him as our Savior and Lord. That the very same Holy Spirit that moved these men of God to pen down these Scriptures now desires to express The Word of Life, Jesus Christ-Who is The Way, The Truth, and The Life - in and through our own lives (2Peter 1:20-21, John 14:6).

While a person may not have physically seen with their eyes or touched with their physical hands the Lord Jesus, yet by grace through faith, we are enabled by the Holy Spirit to see Him clearly and be touched by His Life. Without a doubt, His Life will change ours as we are transformed by grace into taking on His likeness and image in yet another degree that brings glory to Him.

May we prayerfully ponder the following question: Can there be any greater eternal purpose in this life than these ponderings? For even in this life, by faith, we can experience a foretaste of the fulness of Life to come.

As spoken of in John 10:10, it is truly the "Abundant Life" that the Devil fights so hard against. Satan does not want The Message of The Word of Life to get out because it is God's Light that exposes the defeat of ALL darkness.
