light of God

It is always amazing to me how the precise light of God’s Word, shared in the light of His great love for us, continually shines into areas of our lives in which it has never shown before. It enables us to fellowship with Him in such great clarity as we focus on His precious Promises for His people. A fellowship that has no darkness included with it. The darkness of condemnation replaced by the light of the liberty that we have in the Spirit, because of the forgiveness extended to us through our Lord, Savior, and best friend, Jesus Christ. Lord, where You lead us in 2020 and beyond,  by faith, we choose to follow You all the days of our lives, even as Your goodness and mercy follow us in Psalm 23. The Apostle Paul told Agrippa, upon sharing his testimony of having a personal encounter with Christ, Paul said, “I was not disobedient to the Heavenly vision”, speaking of the vision that entailed the eternal purpose for which Jesus appeared to him.

Acts 26:16-19 | "But rise and stand upon your feet, for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to appoint you as a servant and witness to the things in which you have seen Me and to those in which I will appear to you, delivering you from your people and from the Gentiles—to whom I am sending you to open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in Me."

May we be open to the Holy Spirit and remember, the unchanging and eternal purpose for which we are called by the Lord Jesus Christ. As we fellowship with Him, throughout each day, in the light of His Word, His Promises and His great love for mankind, we may be ready to be His lights among men. As the song declares, “His grace still amazes me”. I pray, that it is in this grace, His grace, that we stand, Romans 5:2, each and every day.

Yes there is nothing more vital than to allow the Holy Spirit reign in my life as I fellowship with him. I thank God for his promises and to allow me to be a light in this world for others and to allow me to share his love to others.
Thank you Pastor Anthony for sharing this.
