Joshua 3:6 [ESV] "And Joshua said to the priests, “Take up the Ark of the Covenant and pass on before the people.” So they took up the ark of the Covenant and went before the people."

The Book of Joshua has been on my heart as of late. Particularly chapter 3 where Israel crosses over the Jordan River. 

Godly leadership is so very important in the days in which we live. Especially in Christ's Church.

The key is found in "the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord" (Josh. 3:8, 11). Or, that which it signifies, The Presence of Lord.

Oh that our God raises up godly leaders who are willing to bear the Ark of God's Presence in their lives lived, that others may follow His Presence as manifested through their which will lead them safely crossing over to the other side.

In other words, there is a need for godly leaders who are willing to bear the Ark of God's Presence. Yes, always, but even more so during testing and trying times.

Only the Presence of our Lord as manifested by His Spirit will lead safely His people. At times, giving direction and discernment for the battle at hand, at other times, to lead them safely across to the other side.

In these days, are we willing to be used by the Spirit of God in such a manner as this? Are we willing, as we bear the Ark of God's Presence within us, to stand still in the Jordan that others may cross over safely and have direction in which to navigate through this life?

Praise be to the Lord Jesus Christ Who did exactly that for you and I. Are we ready, by His grace and by His Spirit, to follow Him wherever He leads us? We may even find that there is someone following us as we follow Him.

Zech. 4:6 “Then He said to me, “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the LORD of hosts.”
