Fear Not! God Has Got You!
March 23, 2020 5 CommentsOver the past few days, I have been posting on Facebook Scripture along with short comments to encourage trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ for these present days. I realize that not all have a Facebook account so I decided to place these thoughts into one blog on our website. Enjoy and be blessed by the Spirit of God.
Jn. 14:27 "Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid." Eph. 2:14a "For He Himself is our peace..."
"When in Crisis think with Christ." It is so important for spiritual well-being that when we find ourselves in a crisis (or not in crisis), that we hit pause and to be still, knowing that He is God, and make a choice to think with Christ through his Spirit and Truth. We have been given the mind of Christ in 1 Cor. 2:16 which is ours in Christ Jesus, Phil. 2:5.
Phil. 4:4-9 is an incredible way to exercise wisdom in the Spirit…"Rejoice in the Lord always, again I will say, rejoice. 5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; 6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. 9 What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you."
May we find comfort in crisis by musing upon Psa. 34:18 “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; He rescues those whose spirits are crushed.”
May we be compelled in crisis to pray for those who are hurting as does Christ. Such as with this following prayer…
Heavenly Father, We know that You are close to those that are brokenhearted and to those who are deeply hurting from within. This is often due to the loss of someone that they love and hold close to their wounded hearts.
Your desire is to rescue them that are crushed in spirit with healing from within. Please draw near to those who are hurting and by Your Spirit, may their hearts turn to You.
As Your Spirit draws them close, may they find themselves in Your loving arms of comfort and hope.
During these most difficult and uncertain times, times of sadness and loss, often fearful and anxious. May we discover through the Spirit of the living God, that He can be counted upon to help in times of trouble and that He is able to comfort them in all situations.
May they discover a Hope that is Sure, a Healer that understands and a Savior and Friend that will never leave them.
Whatever time that it takes for healing, may a part of the grieving be in knowing how great Your loves is for all mankind as revealed through Your Son, Jesus Christ, Jn. 3:16. In Jesus Name we ask these things, Amen. Thank you for praying.
Faith takes the instability of the unknown and stabilizes it through Who is known. Friends, get to know Jesus Christ as He loves you beyond all imagination.
In Him and by His Spirit, we can be strong and courageous. In Him, we need not be frightened nor dismayed, for the Lord, our God is with us wherever we go.” Josh. 1:9.
Eph. 6:10 says "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might."
Last Scripture, for now, Psa. 112:6-8 "For the righteous will never be moved; He will be remembered forever. 7 He is not afraid of bad news; his heart is firm, trusting in the Lord. 8 His heart is steady; he will not be afraid, until he looks in triumph on his adversaries.
Friends, let’s be patient for the race that is set before us, this time shall pass, you’ve got this because God has got you!
