Can I get an Amen 400x400

Can I get an AMEN?!

Revelation 3:14 – “And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: ‘The words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God's creation.”

The word Amen in the Old Testament is used often at the end of a sentence as an adverb, and it means “it is surely and most certainly true.” Thus, it confirms the preceding words and that God will be faithful to fulfill His Promises (Zodhiates).

This explains why it is sometimes translated as “so be it” since it carries an earnest declaration from within that God WILL be faithful to His Word and to what He has promised. As Jesus Christ Himself is the Amen, He alone confirms and establishes Truth, and He is the fulfillment of ALL the Promises of His Father.

2 Corinthians 1:20 – “For all the promises of God find their Yes in Him. That is why it is through Him that we utter our Amen to God for His glory.”

Amen is derived from a Hebrew term denoting a reliable support, pictured by the strong arms of a parent who provides a continual and ongoing support of a helpless infant. For in Jesus’ arm’s we will never be let down but are eternally secure in Him. For Jesus was, is, and always will be the One who is Faithful and True to the Will of His Father and to ALL the Promises that have come from Him.
